Workshop Description:
This program provides an introduction to
Program Management techniques and issues that impact a company’s
ability to perform to a contracted cost and schedule. Emphasis will
be placed on the way that programs are run under USAF or DOD
contracts.
Special attention is given to defining your program
requirements, both specified and implied, as well as planning the
program in sufficient detail to allow you to execute it. Other
topics touch on structuring your organization, keys to success and
measuring your progress.

Owners, senior and mid
level executives, program managers, business development staff and
other staff members of firms doing business with Tinker AFB and
other Department of Defense installations.
Presenter:
Barry Dougherty, PMP
Barry Dougherty has been working in the Aerospace
Industry for over 20 years in a wide variety of opportunities. For
the past 10 years, he has concentrated on project management,
primarily focused on military aircraft and defense technologies. He
has directed projects ranging from small, short-term activities to a
3-year, $50M aircraft overhaul and modification program.
Mr. Dougherty is
certified by the Project Management Institute as a Project
Management Professional (PMP). He is a 1972 graduate of the US Naval Academy
with a BS in Aerospace Engineering and holds an MSAE degree from the
US Naval Postgraduate School.
Tuition:
The fee for the workshop is $450. Payment
