RipCoRD
RipCoRD, ITA's exclusivly licensed brand of the Altus Learning
Systems'® eKnowledge Network, enables
companies to rapidly capture knowledge from experts and rapidly
deploy the knowledge throughout their organization.
 |
ITA has partnered with Altus to develop a wide range of tools
and technologies, collectively known as RipCoRD, designed to meet
the diverse knowledge transfer needs of even our most demanding
customers. Whether it's a flexible learner interface, pinpoint
content-based searching, a corporate eKnowledge repository, or the
ability to deliver rich media on a Pocket PC, RipCoRD has the
technology to deliver the solution you need.
vPresenter
The vPresenter learner interface is the most robust, flexible, and
easy to use in the industry. Each presentation includes video/audio,
table of contents, synchronized scrolling transcript, slide navigation,
and other functionality to enhance ease of use. Our unique course
structure allows for searching and bookmarking across multiple
presentations, along with the option of downloading PowerPoint files
and other related documents. In addition, the vPresenter interface
can accommodate larger video windows for hardware demonstrations,
or screencams for software demonstrations. ITA customizes
vPresenter for each client to meet specific functionality and
corporate identity requirements.
vSearch
The heart of RipCoRD is vSearch, which enables precise searching of
all content and direct user access to the exact knowledge you need.
vSearch is much more powerful than traditional metadata-based
approaches, since searching is based on the actual content. Data is
extracted from each presentation, including the text in all slides
and all spoken words in the transcripts, to create a corporate
knowledge base that is fully searchable.
Learners are able to find not only what they need, but can access
content at the precise point of interest-at the course, presentation,
slide, or sentence levels. This enables anyone to find and access
precisely what they need to know when they need to know it. vSearch
transforms a collection of individual courses or presentations
into a highly valuable corporate knowledge repository.
vPortal
For those clients who require an Internet hosting solution for their
rich-media presentations, ITA offers vPortal. vPortal enables audio
and video streaming to remote audiences, supporting both Windows Media
and Real players. In addition to providing security services and a
customizable interface, vPortal also supplies detailed reporting of
usage and bandwidth consumption.
The ITA media hosting solution allows you to deliver your content
immediately, with no hardware investment or networking considerations.
Mobile vPresenter
Today's learners are increasingly mobile and require mobile learning
solutions. Recognizing this, ITA offers Mobile vPresenter (MvP)
to enable mobile workers to learn wherever they are, using handheld
Pocket PC devices (such as the iPAQ). MvP is an application that
easily installs onto the Pocket PC and utilizes the built-in Pocket
IE browser and the Pocket Media Player to deliver audio presentations
with synchronized slides and transcripts, plus a table of contents
for navigation.
Presentations can be downloaded and synced to the Pocket PC or streamed
directly with a wireless LAN adapter or modem. And the best part is
that MvP can link directly to vSearch so that remote learners can
search through the corporate knowledge repository to find the information
they need. Mobile vPresenter's first-of-a-kind mobile learning capability
finally realizes the promise of anytime, anywhere learning!
